Sea turtles are a threatened and endangered species and we need to help them last. Our actions on land create reactions in the ocean - good and bad. Wherever you live, take care of our planet. The future of all marine life depends on us!

A Message From Casey, Founder of Love A Sea Turtle

What began as a third grade school field trip in 2005 to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center has evolved into a passion and fun journey of discovery. My mission has grown and evolved from baking and selling turtle-shaped sugar cookies into an educational outreach program, a year-round calendar of service learning opportunities, coordinator for a marine debris awareness and prevention project, and outdoor environmental summer science camps that trace the path of fresh water to the coast.

Trail Run: Annual fundraising event featuring a 5k trail run and nature walk

Upstream Downstream Connection: We stress the need and importance to conserve water and the crisis and challenges many face throughout the world with a lack of fresh drinking water. Outdoor summer camps, River Quest, River Guardians, and monofilament recycling are components of our Upstream Downstream Connection.

Summer Camp Programs: Founded on an educational format to trace the path of fresh water from our community to the coast.

River Quest: 100 mile kayak journey to raise awareness of our river systems, conservation, and to involve others in nature and the outdoors. Our initial paddle has led to implementing River Guardians, a stream monitoring and environmental awareness program with middle and high school students in multiple counties.

Stow It-Don't Throw It Project: Love A Sea Turtle is a regional coordinator for this marine debris prevention initiative.
