The Upstream Downstream Connection summer camp will pilot test 2 additional camps. The first 2 week campers will spend 1 week at A Time For Science and then go for a second week at East Carolina University for the FoodMASTER Summer Science Camp sponsored by the National Institutes of Health Science Education Partnership Award.

Lots of ways to celebrate and volunteer in one weekend – April 20-22: Earth Day, Global Youth Service Day, National Environmental Education Week, Play-Serve-Celebrate with Let’s G.O.! (Get Outside), River Jam, NC Science Festival.

What will you do? We’re working with other volunteers alongside Boys & Girls Club members to plant hazelnut bushes which are good for the environment, plant a pumpkin patch & fruit trees in an orchard, clear nature trails and a kayak river clean-up.

Our actions on land create reactions in the ocean – good and bad.

February 13-19 is Random Acts of Kindness Week. Volunteer, hold a bake sale, help in some way – it’s the little things that count!
