Keeping Up With Casey
Wow – it has been a busy year for me! Since last summer, I have baked and sold turtle sugar cookies at farmers markets and community events, displayed my sea turtle presentation board at many locations (campus, markets, festivals, etc.), and was even featured on the morning news to promote Oceana’s “Adopt-A-Creature” program. There’s more ahead! Earth Week will bring numerous opportunities to talk about sea turtle awareness with campus events, community events and my own “Love A Sea Turtle” 5k and Nature Walk. Joe Van Gogh Coffee will again offer the summer coffee promotion for the Fair Trade Organic Sea Turtle Blend. I am very excited to head back to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital this summer for the sea turtle release, to deliver the money I have raised, volunteer, and participate in a junior internship program.
