Our outdoor summer programs begin soon! We’re planning nature-based and water-focused environmental programs and activities for approximately 2,000 youth.
What a treat for some 6th graders! NC eco-mystery author, Bonnie Doerr, was hosted by Love A Sea Turtle to share her writing inspirations with students as a part of our NC Science Festival events. The classes had read one of her books, Stake Out, prior to attending the active presentation and Mrs. Doerr read an excerpt from her soon-to-be-published book, Tangled Lines.
This incredible day brought over 400 participants to celebrate and reflect on the success of our River Guardians water monitoring project. Students heard from environmentalists, conservationists, professors, scientists, and other water related organizations. They participated in hands-on activities and spent the afternoon kayaking, fishing, trail biking, and hiking.
