IMMS Turtle Release
The newest turtle conservation effort at IMMS (Institute for Marine Mammal Studies) involves turtle tracking. Six sea turtles with satellite tags were recently released. Visit their website to track them on their journey “home” - http://www.imms.org/satellite_tracking.php
H2O Camp
I am organizing a summer camp for the local Boys & Girls Club. This will be a 4 day science camp at A Time For Science focusing on activities to emphasize the downstream effect of water. The 5th day will be a marine science adventure at the beach! I am dedicating the proceeds from the “Love A Sea Turtle” 5k to help fund this camp.
