My Newest Fundraiser

600

Terry's holding her bag of Organic Fair Trade Sea Turtle Coffee Blend. This is my newest fundraiser for the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital. Joe Van Gogh will donate 10% of net sales from the Sea Turtle Blend. Order yours today - www.joevangogh.com and click on the sea turtle.

Predators

600

The sly fox is at it again. Cages are now placed into the sand surrounding the turtle eggs to prevent foxes from getting to the eggs. This is a new problem at the beaches at Topsail Island. More development force the foxes to move to look for food.

Turtle Crawl

600

I'm standing between the 2 sets of tracks from a mother sea turtle's crawl to lay her eggs.

Turtle Nesting

600

Terry Meyer, Sea Turtle Nesting Program Director, discusses turtle nesting. The turtle left this nest just hours earlier. Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center

Casey meets Oceana Staff

600

During my recent trip to Washington, D.C., I visited Oceana, the Global Headquarters Office for ocean conservation. I talked to Oceana staff and toured the building. It was AMAZING!

Baking Cookies to Save The Sea Turtles

600

I bake and sell turtle-shaped sugar cookies to raise money for the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital in Topsail Island, N.C. You can help the oceans, too, by supporting Oceana's "Adopt A Sea Creature". Go to http://community.oceana.org/act to select your favorite sea creature. I will soon announce my plans for a Save The Ocean Bake Sale. We'll all bake and sell cookies on the same day to raise money for ocean conservation.

The Joe Van Gogh Coffee Shop

CAJ

I visited the Joe Van Gogh coffee shop, Cup A Joe, in Chapel Hill to promote Sea Turtle Awareness and the Sea Turtle Blend Coffee. I am joined by Stephanie and Sarah of Joe Van Gogh. My next stop was Weaver Street Market in Carrboro.
