47 Volunteers including Boys & Girls Club members, ECU students, and community volunteers gathered for a day of trail cleaning to prepare for the upcoming race and shared a “Monday Meal” together. Additional photos on Love A Sea Turtle facebook page.

February 13-19 is Random Acts of Kindness Week. Volunteer, hold a bake sale, help in some way – it’s the little things that count!

October 22 was National Make A Difference Day and the kick-off for NC Students Make A Difference. We held an amazing event at a local high school. There were over 50 kids and staff from the Boys & Girls Clubs, many student and parent volunteers, Kohl’s Kids Who Care volunteers,  A Time For Science and Love A Sea Turtle. Many activities were planned for the day – nature hikes, planting trees, arts and crafts stations including decorating reusable bags and making sundials and straw rockets, sports activities and lunch. Of course, there were turtle sugar cookies! The student volunteers were a big help and we had so much fun. We really made a difference inspiring these kids and some of the volunteers, too! The food drive was also a huge success! We had such a great time and can’t wait until next year!
