After our Earth Day event, I headed over to Fresh Market for a Sea Turtle Blend Coffee promotion. Samples of the Fair Trade Organic Sea Turtle Blend Coffee from Hillsborough coffee roaster Joe Van Gogh were provided to shoppers.

Fair Trade Organic Sea Turtle Blend Coffee has been selected by Fresh Market as 1 of 4 Joe Van Gogh coffees that will be available in stores starting in October! This is very exciting news! Joe Van Gogh donates 10% of net profits from the Sea Turtle Blend Coffee to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center.

Throughout the summer, Love A Sea Turtle made donations to Hammocks Beach State Park, Ecological Marine Adventures and Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center in support of their free educational programs and facilities. Funds were raised from bake sales, t-shirt proceeds, donations and Love A Sea Turtle Trail Run & Nature Walk.

Sea Turtle releases are amazing. I watched 14 turtles return to the ocean yesterday at Topsail Island. These sea turtles were rehabilitated at the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital. Photos are coming soon – check out the facebook page.
