Meeting Heather Ritts
I finally met Heather Ritts, a California artist who designed a limited edition “Save The Turtles” t-shirt to help me raise money after the Gulf oil spill. She creates pretty artwork and jewelry and will paint a custom design on your surfboard!

Book Donation
Thanks to Nestle and Reading Is Fundamental, a $1,000 book collection was donated in my honor to Belvoir Elementary School. School supplies were also donated by St. James Spring Fling. I was greeted by students representing different grades and their SGA. Led by their music teacher, they performed their school song for me. Their art teacher helped them create a great banner. After speaking to them about my volunteer work, they asked me to read to them. While a morning snack was enjoyed, everyone watched my sea turtle video. What a special day!
