We’re excited to have new schools and returning schools participating in our River Guardians Project. With refunding from the State Farm Youth Advisory Board, we will continue to provide scientific water testing equipment to schools on multiple river systems and provide funding assistance for construction of an outdoor science experience center and camping platform. A reflection and celebration day will bring the students together for the second annual River Guardians Environmental Symposium.

Love A Sea Turtle held a training day for teachers to learn to use their new equipment for our Neuse River Guardian project. Judy Day, a Vernier representative, helped us learn about LabQuest 2 and its components. Everyone’s ready to put all of this new water science equipment to good use!

River Quest will now expand into a year-round water testing and stream monitoring project with the assistance of 5 schools in 5 different counties. Love A Sea Turtle will provide water testing equipment, supplies and support along with the River Guardian Foundation to engage over 1,000 students in water conservation and river awareness.
